BABS HARRISON’S 99 checkout set Marcia ‘A’ on track for a 7-4 victory at Tramways in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Tramways fought back with wins for captain Sue Lowery, Karen Alton and Carole Layne, Carol Perrett and Clair Cooper levelled the tie.

Ruth Norman combined with Judy Hall edged the club side in front, but they were derailed as Pat Cairns and Di Moreland set up a decider, which was won by Perrett and Sophie Simpson.

Slipper recovered from a 4-2 deficit to beat visitors Five Lions 7-4.

Jill Reed, Dawn Exton, Michelle Britton and Muriel Britton gave Lions the edge, but Slipper sparkled in the pairs.

They levelled with wins for Trish Law and Doreen Johnstone, Sue Tate and Elaine Metcalfe, before Vicky Middleton and Ann Parkyn sealed the win.

Julie Stables and Amanda Bevan were Edinburgh’s lone points scorers as City Supporters won 9-2 with double-ton contributions from Tina Platt, Jayne Janes and Tracey Farmeary.

Faye Hawksby, Joan Hunter, Sue Smith and Sharon Rishworth gave Marcia ‘B’ a 4-2 advantage entering the pairs against Magnet.

Wins for Sue Tate and Flossy Crampton, then Wendy Shortle and Sandra Bruce, set up a decider, which was won by Marcia’s Shelagh Kenny and Sarah King.

Jackie Simpson and Carol Robson were the only winners for Severus ‘A’ as they lost 9-2 to Burnholme.

Julia Hagyard, Jane Barnes and Dot Trousdale gave Bootham a good start at Acomb, who responded with wins for Sammy Endersby, Lisa Benton and Kate Rankeillor.

Lisa Benton and Laura Gatenby gave Acomb the lead and, after Hagyard and Jackie Calpin levelled, Acomb snatched victory through Hayley Benton and Tasha Benton.

Severus ‘B’ head division two after a 9-2 win at Green Tree, where captain Alison Buckley tried her best to inspire the hosts with a 25-dart leg and a pairs success with Jackie Young.

Captain Linda Embleton was the only singles success for Burton as Rosie Hattee sparked a seven-game winning streak for Marcia Grey.

Embleton and Dawn Barker doubled the Burton tally in the 9-2 defeat.

Jubilee went down 8-3 at home to Shoulder despite Vicky Capes winning the opening leg.

Shoulder replied through Paula Allen, Hannah Smith, Jodie Dowson and Sharon Mountain.

Sylvia Keenan narrowed the gap before Mountain and Sue Gillan sealed victory.

Turpin were a player light as they lost 7-4 to visiting Leeman, whose Debbie Witt starred.
