Station made it three wins out of three in division one of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning Football League after thumping visitors Derwent United 8-1.

Gary Collier, with a brace, took his season’s total to eight. Also on target were Luke Durham (2), Michael Braithwaite, Steve Lyon, Ian Beckram and Andy Best.

Danny Penrose grabbed four goals in Enterprise’s 9-0 win over a depleted Severus. Also on target were Rob Orr, Chris Dempsey, Phil Hartley, Paul Bentley and Danny Murphy.

Albion Vaults, one of the favourites to win division two, opened the season with an 8-2 win at Beeswing, Danny Ferguson top-scoring for the victors with a hat-trick.

Dave Hullah netted a brace followed by efforts from James Grundy, Paul Tanton and Chris Harkin. Beeswing substitute Liam Robertson hit both replies.

Bubwith White Swan struck first in their game at York Medics with a goal from Fabio Andrade but the students hit back when Stewart Brown levelled.

In the second period, Bubwith went down to ten men after having a player sent off but still managed to run out 4-1 winners. Simon Houlder (2), and Graham Stewart scored.

In division three, Britannia Tadcaster claimed bragging rights after they beat fierce rivals Tadcaster Magnets 2-0, both goals coming from Adam Field.

Brayton FC got their season off to a flier with a 4-0 win over visitors Haxby Lions. A third-minute goal from Michael Davison put them 1-0 up at half-time and then, two minutes into the second period, Dale Holt made it 2-0. Further goals from Rob Guest and Dave Ward sealed the victory.

Snaith are the early leaders in division four after beating York Phoenix 10-1. The scorers were Mark Baggaley (4), Alex Sykes (2), Matthew Whitaker (2), Sam Westerman and Oliver McArdle. Ben Walsh replied.

Drax brushed aside Marcia Bishopthorpe 7-2 with four goals from Matthew Eastwood. Also on target were James Barrett, Jonathon Page and Neil Harrison. Stuart King and Dave Doone struck for Marcia.
