New date cross country race at Acklam

Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers have been informed that the North Yorkshire/South Durham League cross country race at Acklam, cancelled because of treacherous conditions, will go ahead at the same venue on March 3.
Before that the next club championship race, also cross-country, is at Richmond on Saturday, February 16.
Harrier Noel Clough finished fourth in the open section of the Northern Championship cyclo-cross races at Whitby’s Caedmon School, Whitby.
Club-mate Pete Wilkin, meanwhile, came home in 16th position in the V40 category.
