Knavesmire Harriers shine in Ripon cross country race

YORK Knavesmire Harriers turned in a sound performance in the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships at Ripon.
The Mire men finished 17th, with Chris Roberts leading them home in 68th place, ahead of, Simon Collins in 106th, Barry Atkinson in 124th, Mark Lawrence in 129th, Darren Hendley in 137th and John Bevan, who was 158th.
In the women’s race, Abey Lawrence was the Mire finisher in 42nd position, with Mandy Clarke 72st and Gill Barker in 115th.
