HARROGATE Town will be praying that the deluge finally stops today.
Town, whose run of games has been hit by flooding problems at its Wetherby Road pitch, are scheduled to start 2013 with a Blue Square Bet North outing at Workington Town.
With Saturday’s clash at home to Droylsden KO’d by the downpours, it’s now mid-December since Simon Weaver’s men have been involved in competitive action.
So they are desperate to get in some game time, especially as they have at least three matches in hand on all bar one of the 13 teams above them in the current standings, though their goal power has been lessened with the recall to York City of Tom Platt.
Over in the Evo-Stik League, Harrogate Railway Athletic are due to entertain Farsley Celtic in a division one north derby.
Depending on how much rainfall there was on the Railway View pitch yesterday, an inspection is expected for 10am today.
