A LAST-MINUTE switch took the fourth round of the Par Tee Golf Societies’ winter tour from Scalm Park to Swallow Hall Golf Club.
Rich Garner – playing as a guest on the tour – won with 36 points off a 15 handicap.
Gary Smith bagged his second runners-up spot on 35 points, while third place went to Dave Kilner on 34.
Garner also claimed the longest drive trophy with a beautiful straight drive on the 328-yard tenth hole.
Martin Alderson-Crombie claimed his second consecutive nearest the pin trophy on the 180-yard par-three 16th.
Tour leader is Paul Hillaby, but Smith, the 2011 York & District Golf League champion, climbed six places to second, nine points shy of Hillaby.
The next round is at Aldwark Manor GC on December 22.
