Bowls: Tough Vivienne Trophy task in store for York

York’s Vivienne Trophy team face their toughest task yet in the last 16 as they play Riverain (Hitchin) at Lincoln today, at 12.30pm.

Tomorrow, York ‘A’ play Hornsea in the Yorkshire Over-55s League division one, starting at noon.

Then, on Saturday, York play Huddersfield in the Yorkshire League first division and New Earswick play leaders Doncaster in their first second division game of the season after having a bye in the first round of matches.

Both games start at noon. At the same time, York will take on New Earswick in a Hebden Trophy derby.

On Sunday, York Under-25s take on The Parks (North Shields) at Hartlepool IBC, at noon.

New Earswick host the Durham v Nottinghamshire Atherley Trophy tie at noon.

Next Tuesday at 12.30pm, York ‘A’ play an Over-55s League match against Thornaby at Thanet Road.
