A TRIP to Middlesbrough is the prize awaiting either Harrogate Town or Hastings United in the FA Cup third round.

The Wetherby Roaders must travel to Hastings a week tomorrow to complete the job after their home second round tie ended in a 1-1 draw.

On-loan York City midfielder Tom Platt headed Harrogate into a 41st-minute lead against Hastings, the lowest ranked team left in the competition.

However, the visitors bossed the second half and secured a replay when Jamie Crellin pounced on a rebound the level in the 61st minute.

The home side could have snatched the tie late on, but were denied by the woodwork.

A crowd of 2,986 packed into Wetherby Road for Town’s first excursion into the second round of the famous knockout competition.

Leeds United, who were 4-2 winners at Huddersfield in the npower Championship on Saturday, have been drawn at home to Birmingham.
