TWO people have been injured in separate crashes this morning.
The first happened on the A1237 York outer ring road in Nether Poppleton at about 7.50am.
North Yorkshire Police said a motorbike and a Vauxhall Zafira were in collision, leaving the female rider of the motorcycle with injuries. The Vauxhall driver was not injured.
The spokeswoman said the woman had been taken to York Hospital, but was not thought to have been seriously injured.
Recovery crews arrived at the scene at about 9.40am, but the crash has caused serious disruption to traffic and local bus services.
The second crash happened at about 8.50am in Market Weighton Road, Barlby, and involved a bus and a van.
The police spokeswoman said the van driver suffered head injuries but could not say whether they were serious. He has been taken to York Hospital, and the spokeswoman said officers were still at the scene and the vehicles had not yet been recovered.
