FEEDBACK can now be submitted on Selby District Council's plans for business and housing growth in the area.

Plan Selby looks at locations for growth around the district over the next 12 years, and needs public opinion on the sites selected for new investment. Consideration must be given to impact on the local environment and infrastructure.

Once adopted, Plan Selby will form the basis for considering planning applications from developers and give them a clear steer as to what is needed and where.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Mark Crane, said, "We know Selby is the place to do business and the place to live. We've got significant new business space coming onto the market already and Plan Selby gives us the framework to deliver more. That will support new investment and new jobs.

"Housing is another key issue for us. We need new homes for families and individuals across the district, and these homes need to be supported by local amenities. Plan Selby sets out how this can be done."

Feedback begins on November 24 at selby.gov.uk and must be entered before January 19.
