Selby Christmas lights switch-on
THE Christmas light switch-on in Selby will take place on Saturday, November 29, in the Market Place.
Selby Town Council has organised the event, which will also include a Christmas market with more than 35 stalls, between 9am and 5pm in the Market Place. Entertainment will be provided by local school choirs, Selby Music Centre band, the Abbey Belles and Fairburn Singers and the award winning Knottingley Silver Band.
Santa Claus will appear at noon, and the deputy mayor, Councillor Gavin Harding MBE will switch on the Christmas lights at 4pm.
