A NEW course to teach skills to volunteers will be launched near Selby this month.
The free Skills For Volunteers scheme is run by the Workers Educational Association and Selby District Volunteer Centre, and will take place on September 23 between 9.30am and noon at the Harold Mills Community Centre in North Crescent, Sherburn in Elmet.
The course will run for nine Tuesdays with a one-week break for half term, and will give people an idea about what it is like to be a volunteer with groups around the area.
To find out more about the course and volunteering contact Kathy Donnelly at Selby District Volunteer Centre on 01757 241032, email kathydonnelly@selbydistrictavs.org.uk or enrol for the course online at wea.org.uk/course
