RESIDENTS in Ryedale are being urged to text, phone or use the internet to make sure they are eligible to vote.
Annual canvass forms have been sent out by Ryedale District Council to all homes.
Residents need to reply in order to stay on the electoral register and be able to have their say in future elections and possible referendums.
Simon Copley, the council’s democratic services manager: “Using the phone, text and internet is a really easy option, and by responding this way, time and money can be saved and people can be sure they have the right to vote.”
