POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a North Yorkshire landmark was attacked by vandals.
Officers are still investigating after the much-loved statue of Freddie Gilroy, which sits on Scarborough’s North Bay, was defaced with yellow paint on January 26.
Officers are currently awaiting the results of forensic tests on the paint which was used in the incident and hope results will generate new lines of inquiry.
