PLANS to regenerate Scarborough’s seafront and town centre will go before the borough council next week.
A meeting of the authority’s planning and development committee will take place on Thursday, March 1, and will look at ways to bring commercial interest to the Futurist Theatre, King Street car park, and the town hall.
The plans, which include redevelopment of non-listed buildings and other suggestions, will go to an eight-week public consultation if approved by the council.
If the plans are agreed by the council, full copies of the draft development brief will be available to view on the council’s website and at both the Town Hall and Scarborough Library and Information Centre in Vernon Road.
