A FRIEND of Claudia Lawrence, the missing York chef, has run 10km to raise money for the charity Missing People.
Jen King ran with more than 700 other people in the Missing People’s Missing Miles 10km Run in Regents Park, London.
A crowd of more than 1,000 supporters encouraged them on to the finish, including Claudia’s father Peter Lawrence.
Peter, who presented Jen with her medal as she came across the finishing line, said: “It was a very well-organised and meaningful event despite the sad circumstances for so many missing people’s friends and families.
“I want to pay tribute to Jen for taking part and hope that people will continue to support her fundraising efforts even after the event.”
Speaking after the race, Jen said: “It was exhausting, but I knew I had to keep going to the end in order to raise as much money as possible.”
