PUPILS at Norton Primary School got on their bikes to raise funds for new cycling equipment.
The Year 6 students took part in a sponsored bike ride from the school in Grove Street to the top of Langton Hill and back with a number of teachers taking part including head teacher Liz Parker.
Sports teacher Tom Myers said pupils from Year 5 had also been on hand to cheer the cyclists on.
“The children really enjoyed it and it was a real challenge for them to get up the hill,” he added.
“The bike ride was a great success with more than £300 raised so far and hopefully we can do another one next year.”
