MALTON’S monthly food market returns on Saturday.
A wide selection of food and drink stallholders will be on offer outside the Milton Rooms and in Pearson and Ward’s car park.
April’s chefs include a return visit from Matthew Smith, of the Crown and Cushion Inn, at Welburn, who will be joined by a fellow chef from the Royal Oak at Helperby. Both pubs belong to the Provenance Inns group.
Matthew plans to present a tasty starter during his first slot at noon, followed by a full main course demo at 1pm.
The 2pm slot will showcase the delights of Gsus Lozano, from the Jinnah Restaurant near Flaxton, who creates a tasty array of dishes during his first appearance at the monthly food market.
Tom Naylor-Leyland, director of the market, said: “We are delighted that the market attracts talented chefs to Yorkshire’s Food Capital.
“The market has a great atmosphere, with live music and enthusiastic stall holders who are dedicated to producing wonderful food.
“The food market has a number of unique selling points including free parking and a brigade of volunteers.”
