STUDENTS from Ryedale School are celebrating the success of their artwork with an exclusive exhibition.
The pupils will be showing their work at Bridge Street Frames and Gallery in Helmsley, as part of this year's GCSE coursework and examination. Work on display includes a range of styles and demonstrates the use of a range of media, including acrylic paint, pastels, mixed media, watercolours and pencil drawings.
Themes include “Identity”, “Close Up”, “Disguise”, “Openings” and “Atmospheres”.
Head of art at Ryedale School, David Hopkins, said pupils were required to research their topic and select artists to inspire the final pieces which are to being exhibited.
"There are a lot of talented individuals who should be encouraged to exhibit their artwork and this is a fantastic opportunity to bring to light some of the talent we have at Ryedale School.," he said.
"We hope that people find time to call in and see the exhibition in the forthcoming week.
The exhibition runs until Friday, October 10.
