A MALTON pub will be breaking into song this weekend to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The King’s Head, in Market Place, is hosting a 12-hour ‘singalong’ and inviting local people to come along and take part.
Janet England, who recently took over the management of the pub with husband Paul, said they were keen to do something for a local charity over the bank holiday weekend.
“We will be having a number of professional singers who will each take a slot and in between we are asking people to come and sing for £1 a song,” she said.
Janet also said sponsorship forms are available from the pub and The Pott In Shed café in Chancery Lane, Malton, for budding performers to pick up.
The 12-hour musical marathon kicks off at noon on Sunday.
And to add the bank holiday family fun theme there will also be face-painting and a burger bar as well as a pool tournament which will run during the event.
