North Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Julia Mulligan, is to meet farmers in Thirsk to discuss their views on rural crime.
Mrs Mulligan will be at the Golden Fleece from 7pm on Monday to meet members of the National Farmers Union.
The meeting will give the farmers a chance to hear first-hand about Mrs Mulligan’s plans for tackling rural crime and antisocial behaviour across the county.
Mrs Mulligan said: “Rural crime can often be hidden or go undetected, and it is crucial the rural residents and farmers of North Yorkshire get the same services as elsewhere in the county.
