CITADEL regulars The Band of Friends return to the venue later this month to provide another veritable feast of blues music with their extra special tribute act.
The group’s gigs celebrate the life and music of legendary Irish blues guitarist the late Rory Gallagher.
Bass guitarist Gerry McAvoy, who performed with McAvoy and appeared in all 11 of his albums, is able to recreate not only the sounds of his music, but the energy and feel of Rory's music with band members having helped define it bring it to the fore.
Drummer Ted McKenna appeared on three albums with Gallagher, appearing in live shows with him between 1977 and 1981.
The gig takes place on Friday, May 30 with doors opening at 7.30pm. Tickets are £14 for adults and £12.50 for concessions in advance with a £14 charge on the door.
For further information or to book tickets call the Citadel Box Office on 01744 735436 or visit the Citadel website citadel.org.uk.
