A NORTH Yorkshire Scouting Group has been given new windows and doors to complete the refurbishment of its centre.

The 1st Easingwold (Forest of Galtres) Scout Group was donated the products and services by Barnsley-based window manufacturer Building Product Solutions.

The Scout Centre was built by Persimmon Homes in 1994 in exchange for the land their old hut stood on which became the entrance to the York firm’s new housing estate.

Lynne Darwin, sales director at Building Product Solutions said it had built a successful relationship with Persimmon over the past few years and when the company approached it, she was only too happy to help. Scout Group chairman Gerard Tubb said the new windows and doors were a great boost to the major refurbishment of the Scout Centre, which had also had a new kitchen fitted.

“Everyone involved with 1st Easingwold Scout Group want to say a massive Scouting thank you to Building Product Solutions for being so generous,” he said.
