GOURMET trail company Yorkshire Food Finder teamed up with tourism agencies Visit Britain and Welcome to Yorkshire to organise a three-day gastro tour for an international TV cookery show, thanks to its renowned, expert knowledge of local producers and chefs.
Considered as the go-to ambassadors for Yorkshire food, Yorkshire Food Finder helped celebrity TV chef Saransh Goila – India’s youngest celebrity chef and winner of the Indian equivalent of Masterchef – to get up close and personal with some of Yorkshire’s best bites.
“This is a first for us, and possibly for Indian TV,” said Yorkshire Food Finder founder Sue Nelson, who is also a columnist for The Press.
“But we are delighted to have been asked to use our expertise to debut some of Yorkshire most delicious foods, producers and chefs to an Indian audience. It’s a real honour to work with chef Saransh who has a huge following.”
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We’re sure Yorkshire Food Finder and all the great places Saransh visits gave him our famous Yorkshire welcome.”
