ROCK Choir is launching in Malton, Selby and York and is inviting locals to come and try a free session.
New choir leader Steve Brown, who will run fun, weekly Rock Choir sessions, said he was thrilled to be working with local people to help them discover their voice.
“Singing has long been recognised for having great benefits on body and mind. Hearing some of the feedback from Rock Choir members across the country, they don’t just come along for the singing, they also make a lot of new friends.”
Rock Choir, the UK’s largest contemporary choir, has more than 16,000 members in over 300 local communities.
There are no auditions and no requirements to read music or have any previous singing experience.
