A THEATRE company based in York has secured a grant worth two million euros to fund a partnership with European theatres.
Pilot Theatre, currently based at the Theatre Royal, has announced the success of its application to the European Culture Funding stream, Creative Europe. The funding will to deliver an ambitious four year “cooperation project” among ten theatres.
Platform Shift + is a co-operative network of ten European theatres and a University who use digital technology, training and innovation within the theatre sector to further develop, exchange and share work, expertise and ideas.
The network is committed to meeting the new challenges of producing and touring theatre for young audiences by exploring live performance in the real world in creative partnership with the digital world.
