PATIENTS and their families are being urged to nominate their health heroes in the York area.
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is holding its annual Celebration of Achievement awards.
The patient award will give people the chance to say a public thank you to outstanding members of staff, said a trust spokeswoman.
“It will be presented to an individual or team who has shown an exceptionally caring, supportive and compassionate service to patients, their families and friends,” she said.
Chief executive Patrick Crowley said the awards had become a valuable and highly regarded way of honouring colleagues who had excelled in their achievements and service.
Nomination forms can found in hospital receptions or can be downloaded from the trust website’s Contact Us section and submitted by post, e-mail or in person. The deadline for submissions is April 29.
