POLICE have warned visitors to Harrogate after a 'cash trapping' device was found on ATM s in the town.
The plastic devices are fitted to the slot where money comes out, and traps the cash on a sticky pad in the device to prevent it from being pulled back into the machine.
Police did not say how many machines the devices have been found on, but said one was found on the ATM at the Cooperative store in Leeds Road on Wednesday.
Users are advised to check machines before inserting a card, and report any items which look like they have been stuck onto the machine to the owner.
