A RECORD number of exhibits, including the world’s oldest tractor, was displayed at a festival to celebrate agricultural and vintage vehicles.

Tractor Fest, was held at Newby Hall, near Ripon, at the weekend and attracted 1,300 exhibitors, with some travelling fromGermany and Holland.

The event showcased hundreds of tractors, cars, lorries, stationary engines and motorcycles and included the March of the Tractors, a parade of tractors from the historic home to the city’s market square.

Exhibits included the 1903 Ivel tractor and a vintage 1922 Packard car, which was used for the mail run from Adelaide to Breckon Hill in Australia, but is now restored to its former glory.

There was also a world record attempt to bring together the largest gathering of Mogul tractors, as well as an exhibition of Ford cars through the.

The Yorkshire Vintage Association event also featured vintage tractor pulling, free tractor and trailer rides, interactive exhibits, working machinery, food outlets and trade stands.
