Attempted break-in at Harrogate jeweller’s store
THIEVES attempted to break into a jeweller’s store in Harrogate overnight on Wednesday, May 28.
The burglars used a pick-axe handle and beer barrel to try to break into Montpellier Antiques in Montpellier Mews.
They were unable to gain access, but caused considerable damage to the door.
Police believe the suspects were loitering in the area prior to the incident. T
hey have appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time, and saw or heard any suspicious activity, to phone them on 101.
