TWO masked men armed with a knife robbed a North Yorkshire supermarket, writes Jennifer Bell.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the raid at 9.30pm on Thursday, at the Co-op store on St Winifred’s Avenue, Harrogate. The men entered the shop and one threatened the staff with a knife before stealing about £180.
The suspect who threatened the staff is described as being about 5ft 3in and stocky. He was wearing a green balaclava, black shiny jacket and dark jogging pants. The second person is about 5ft 8in tall and was wearing a grey hooded top, black balaclava, black jogging pants and blue latex gloves.
A 23-year-old local man has been arrested and is in police custody.
