THREE Tadcaster teenagers made their mum very proud on GCSE day.
The stress and worry of having one child getting their exam results is usually enough for a parent, but Laura Morrall had to cope with her 16-year-old triplets all finding out their results on the same day.
Mrs Morrall, of Auster Bank, Tadcaster, said Wednesday night was “very tense”, but the worry evaporated when her children James, Alexander and Lauren passed their exams.
Between them, the trio of Tadcaster Grammar School pupils achieved A* and B GCSEs and a B with distinctions in B-Tech diplomas.
Mrs Morrall said: “They will be staying on at Tadcaster Grammar to study for their A-levels.”
Elsewhere in North Yorkshire it was A*s and As all round for Pickering triplets, Bethany, Rebecca and Emma Collins, when they opened their GCSE results at Lady Lumley’s School. The 16-year-olds were overjoyed with their results.
