Talented graduate Phil Procter is looking to launch his own range of furniture designs after securing a first-class honours degree.
Phil, 22, of Haxby, York, graduated with a first in BA (Hons) Furniture: Contemporary Design from Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe.
Phil, an ex-pupil of Easingwold School, now hopes for a successful career in the furniture industry.
He said: “I have already had inquiries for my work and I am so proud to have finished with a first-class degree.”
Phil received his degree certificate in the presence of family and friends along with 1,500 students and honorary graduands at Bucks New University’s graduation ceremonies.
He was alongside Tony Smart, chairman of the Student Training Committee at the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
