Delicious dishes from around the world were on the menu when York school children hosted a dinner party with a difference.
The “Come Dine With Me”-style event was cooked up by students at the University of York, who spent four weeks working with Year 6 pupils at St Lawrence’s CE Primary School.
They teamed up with chefs from York Marriott Hotel, and the results were served at York College. Kate Harper, of the community and volunteering unit at the university, which helped organise the event, said: “We hope that “Come Dine With Me” will broaden the horizons of the kids taking part in a whole range of ways.
“Our students have enjoyed every minute of working with them.”
