PAINTINGS by Brian Tiffney are sharing exhibition space with ceramics by Fiona Fitzgerald at Pocklington Arts Centre until October 27.
“My paintings are about colour relationships and the impact that they have on me as I work on them,” says Brian, from Thornton-le-Dale.“Each colour applied affects all the others already in place; the shape, placement, size and strength of each new colour being some of the things to ponder on as the work progresses.”
Fiona, from York, assembles richly marbled, textured vessels and wall shields, using rolled and torn coloured clays.
