MARKET Weighton is to host its Giant Community Day on Sunday, July 13.
The High Street and Market Place will be closed to traffic to allow the entertainments, which include buskers, a steam engine, gun dog training, childrens fair, kids’ entertainment in St John’s Church, and a Harley Davidson parade Hog on the Humber.
There will also be performances by the Brandesburton and Leven Baton Twirlers, singing from Weighton Waites, and a giant penalty shoot out competition.
The day will culminate in a “Last Night of the Proms” concert by the East Yorkshire Brass Band.
Entry to the day is free, and events run from 11.30am-4pm.
