A NEW East Riding flag has been unfurled and is now flying from the top of Beverley Minster.
Father and son, Trevor and Thomas Appleton, from Kirkburn, East Riding, won a competition to design the flag, which has the white rose of Yorkshire displayed in the East Riding style. with the blue representing the sea and maritime activities and the green representing the rich agricultural land.
Full Sutton resident Andy Strangeway has been organising design competitions to come up with flags for the historic Yorkshire Ridings.
