Christina Coates
A YOUNG windsurfer from East Yorkshire has been named as the Royal Yachting Association’s young sailor of the year.
Christina Coates, aged 15, from Beverley, will travel to London on Saturday, January 12, to collect her award.
Christina was chosen by a panel of judges and will represent the region during the awards ceremony at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show.
Christina is a regular competitor in the association’s Team15 inter-club championship and was part of the North Zone Championship-winning Pugneys Pirates team in 2012.
