LAST season’s York City official charity was SNAPPY (Special Needs And Play Provision for York), but this year’s star fundraiser is Dave Brown, who to date has earned more than £50,000 for the children’s charity.
Now he is about to run six 10km races, which he admits is no mean feat for someone who weighs 20 stone. Indeed not. As Dave says, three and a half times your body weight comes down on your knees, which for him equates to 70 stones.
Rather him than us, then, but what an incredible patron Dave Brown has turned out to be for SNAPPY.
We salute him.
