JACKIE Potter first began raising money for Parkinson’s Disease research after her best friend lost her mother to the condition in 2004. Then, in a cruel twist, mum-of-two Jackie was herself diagnosed with the condition.
That was three years ago.
Undeterred, the 54-year-old from Strensall has now decided to resume her fundraising – by walking the Great Wall of China.
Her trek in September will last seven days, and she has pledged to raise £3,300 to help the search for a cure. Talk about pluck. Good for you, Jackie.
