FUNDRAISER Phil Wiggins has now run and cycled more than 5,000 miles for charity - and he’s still going.
The 40-year-old from Acomb started his ‘Wiggo 4000’ challenge last October, planning to run, swim and cycle 4,000 miles to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
But last month alone he cycled more than 900 miles, passing the 5,000 mile mark in total. He’s now planning to keep going until mile 6,000. That should be at the Yorkshire Marathon in October.
It is a brilliant effort, which has raised more than £7,200 for a very good cause. Well done, Wiggo.
