JAYNE Jackson spends nine hours a day undergoing dialysis. For two years, the 55-year-old former ambulance worker has been waiting for a kidney donor. Today, she urged people to sign the organ donor register.
“If there is no kidney, there is no kidney. It doesn’t matter how ill you are,” she said.
There are almost 200 people in North and East Yorkshire waiting for a transplant. Last year, 14 people died while waiting. So please sign the register today. It is so easy - and it could one day make such a difference to someone like Jayne.
