Warehouse revival

YORK’S historic Bonding Warehouse stood empty and neglected for far too long after the floods of 2000. It is wonderful, therefore, to see it coming back to life.

The former warehouse has been converted into office units on the ground and first floors, with four luxury apartments above.

Three of those flats have already been sold - among them a penthouse which has become York’s first £1 million apartment.

There aren’t many people who could afford that kind of price tag. But we’ll all benefit from the fact that this listed building - such a distinctive part of York’s riverside landscape - is getting the TLC it needs at last.
