Stadium on target
WORK on York’s long-awaited community stadium looks set to begin next March. With any luck, that should mean the £19 million stadium – which has been hit by a series of delays – is ready in time for the 2016/17 season.
That is excellent news especially with York City in fine form and challenging for promotion. Designs for the stadium are set to be unveiled this summer.
How great it would be if, by then, City were a League One outfit.
