A GRASS-COVERED car has been catching people’s eyes while driving around the streets of York.
The car, which belongs to Wheldrake-based Easigrass Yorkshire, is covered in fake grass and has a face on the bonnet.
It is thought to be the only one of its kind in Yorkshire, although Easigrass has a number of other similar cars in London.
Tracey Purcell, the director of Easigrass Yorkshire, which sells artificial grass, said: “People come over and say: ‘It’s fantastic, can we take a picture?’ It makes people laugh really. It has really got the feel-good factor.”
Children at Wheldrake with Thorganby CE Primary have been invited to name the specially camouflaged Smart Car.
