A SIGNS and engraving specialist has left its mark at a prestigious exhibition.

Andrews Signs and Engravers, based in Stockton-on-the-Forest, engraved initials onto 475 pairs of surgical scissors in two days during the Wounds UK exhibition, held in Harrogate.

The company, which employs five people, was commissioned by KCI Medical to engrave the initials on scissors they were giving away to medical professionals at the conference.

The team never stopped, engraving solidly for 14 hours, said director James Andrews.

Jill Andrews, co-director, said: “We are well known in the area for trophy and awards engraving, but we are actually leaders in the field of industrial engraving and brass plaques for opening ceremonies. The exhibition gave us a platform to show off our skills and the customer was very happy.”
