LUXURY holiday business, Cox and Kings, is the company in discussions over a possible sale of Holidaybreak.
Cox and Kings, which is more than 250 years old, may make an offer for the business for at a price of 432.1 pence in cash per ordinary share, Holidaybreak announced today.
Holidaybreak, the parent company of York-based holiday business Superbreak, said: “The board of Holidaybreak confirms that it is in discussions with Cox & Kings Limited which may or may not lead to an offer for Holidaybreak at a price of 432.1 pence in cash per ordinary share. At this stage there can be no certainty that any offer for the company will be forthcoming.”
The Holidaybreak group offers educational and adventure holidays, camping holidays and hotel breaks, which includes its Superbreak business which employs about 200 people in York.
