HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking holiday company, is 100 years young next year and we believe this is something to celebrate.
Our founder, TA Leonard, is widely considered to be the father of the outdoor movement and pioneered group walking holidays. He founded the Holiday Fellowship in 1913, since when we’ve taken nearly five million people on holiday and in doing so created lots of lasting memories. Leonard knew the secret of a happy life and passed this on to hundreds of thousands of people. Enabling people to enjoy the freedom of the open fells in the companionship of others was his life’s mission.
He was in the truest sense a crusader and citizen of the world, and his values remain with the company today. HF Holidays is a co-operative society belonging to its members with almost 1,000 experienced volunteer walk leaders and guides providing holidays to tens of thousands of holiday makers every year.
