A HOSPICE in Market Weighton is celebrating after reaching the £1million milestone in its campaign to raise money for a major redevelopment.
Dove House, in conjunction with the Love You 2 appeal, wants to raise £2.5 million, whic will be used to provide additional facilities for specialist care, respite care, enhanced services and treatments and overnight stays for relatives. Keeley Knaggs, appeal fundraiser, said: “Dove House Hospice is close to the hearts of so many people in and around Market Weighton.
“It is a fantastic achievement to have reached the £1 million milestone and this reflects all the hard work and effort that everyone has put in. We still have a further £1.5 million to raise so we hope that the community will continue supporting us as we move on our next phase”.
