Locomotive trip for Prince Charles

THE National Railway Museum in York will provide the nameplate for the locomotive taking The Prince of Wales on his first trip to the Northumberland coast.

The trip will be the third time Tornado has taken on the role of unofficial royal train, since its maiden journey from York Station in 2009.

For its latest outing royal outing, Tornado will be wearing her current livery of British Railways Brunswick Green and carrying the same London & South Western Railway headboard with The Prince of Wales feathers that she wore during her naming ceremony.
